Variations

Just when you thought vector painting couldn't be any more fun, Acrylic let's you spread your wings with variations. On a vector layer, open the Variations palette.

Click the only button you see on this palette to unleash it's full potential.

For those of you who are new to Acrylic, vector painting is as easy as pixel painting. Just create a vector layer, choose the Freehand drawing tool and start painting. For this example, I'm choosing a green color in the PaintStyle palette and moving the hue and saturation sliders on the Variations palette to the right.

As I paint strokes, notice the variations in color and intensity.

In addition to hue, saturation, and lightness, you can set variations in width, stroke width randomness, stroke randomness and variable transparency.
